Terms of Service

Last updated 26 August 2026

These terms cover what you can expect from NenoSource and what we expect from you. AI answers are not guaranteed to be correct explains why you should check the citations on an answer rather than trust it, and billing, cancellation and refunds sets that out in full. If you use the API, API access and agent keys is the third one to read.

1. This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Piyush Nakrani, an individual trading as NenoSource and based in Surat, India (“we”, “us”), covering your use of NenoSource(the “service”). We are a sole proprietorship rather than an incorporated company, and we would rather say so here than let you assume otherwise. By creating an account you accept these terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of this agreement.

2. Who may use the service

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you are using the service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf, and “you” means that organisation.

3. Your account

Give accurate details and keep them current. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password and sign-in sessions secure. Tell us promptly at nenosource01@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We verify your email address before the account becomes usable, and an account whose address is never confirmed is removed automatically.

4. Workspaces and team members

Content lives in a workspace. The workspace owner controls it: they invite and remove members, choose the plan, and are responsible for the bill. Members you invite can see and use the workspace’s agents and documents according to their role, so invite only people who should have that access. Individual conversations are private to the member who had them.

If a workspace is shared, whoever holds the owner role holds the account for these purposes, including on billing questions.

5. Your content

Your content remains yours. Documents you upload, agent instructions you write and questions you ask stay your property.

You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit that content strictly to operate the service for you — which includes extracting text, generating the search index described in the Privacy Policy, and sending the relevant parts to an AI provider so a question can be answered. The licence exists only to run the service, ends when you delete the content or your account, and does not permit us to use your content to train models or to share it with anyone outside the providers listed in the Privacy Policy.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that doing so breaks no confidentiality obligation or third-party right. You are responsible for keeping your own copies; we are not a backup service.

6. AI answers are not guaranteed to be correct

The service produces answers with a language model, and language models get things wrong. An answer can be incomplete, out of date, or confidently mistaken, even when it cites a source. This is why every answer carries citations: they exist so you can check the passage the answer came from, and you should.

Answers are provided for information only. They are not legal, financial, medical, tax or professional advice, and you should not rely on them as the sole basis for a decision that matters. You are responsible for verifying an answer before acting on it. The same question may produce different wording on different occasions, which is how these models work rather than a fault.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or upload content you have no right to.
  • Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, harassing or abusive.
  • Attempt to access another workspace’s data, defeat the isolation between workspaces, or probe or breach our security. Good faith security research reported to us is welcome — see the Privacy Policy.
  • Work around plan limits, share one account between people who should have their own, or resell the service without our agreement.
  • Put an API key in code a user can read — a website, a mobile app, a browser extension — or share one outside your own organisation.
  • Use automated means to place unreasonable load on the service, or use it to generate spam or bulk unsolicited content.
  • Use the service to build a competing product, or to extract our software.

We rate-limit requests to keep the service available for everybody.

8. Plans and usage limits

Each plan carries limits on workspace members, document storage and monthly chat usage. Chat usage is metered in credits, which reflect the tokens a question and its answer consume, so a long document and a long answer cost more than a short one. Current limits for each plan are shown on the pricing page and in your workspace’s usage view. Questions asked through the API draw on the same allowance as questions asked in the app — there is not a second pool for it.

Reaching a limit stops new activity; it never deletes what you already have. If you exceed your storage or credits, further uploads or questions are refused until the next period or until you upgrade — but your existing documents, agents and conversations stay exactly where they are. The same is true if you move to a smaller plan: nothing is erased for being over the new limit.

9. Billing, cancellation and refunds

This section is our refund policy. It is also published on its own at Refunds and cancellation, word for word — the same clauses, at a second address, for anyone who was sent there rather than here.

Who you are buying from

Paid plans are sold by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of recordand is the seller of record for your purchase. Paddle handles the checkout, the payment method, and the sales tax, VAT or GST due in your jurisdiction. Your card statement will show Paddle. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s own buyer terms.

Subscription term and renewal

Paid plans are monthly, on a term of 30 days, quoted and charged in US dollars. Prices exclude local taxes, which are calculated at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term, at the then-current price, until you cancel. If we change the price of your plan we will tell you before the change applies to a renewal.

The free plan, shown as Personal, costs nothing and requires no card.

Upgrades and downgrades

An upgrade takes effect immediately, and Paddle charges the prorated difference for the remainder of your current term. If that payment fails, the upgrade does not take effect — you are never moved to a higher plan against a declined payment.

A downgrade takes effect at the end of your current paid term, not at once. You have already paid for the plan you are on, so you keep it until the day it runs out and the smaller plan begins after that. Nothing is deleted when it does.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid term, never immediately. You keep full access to your plan until that date, no further charge is taken, and the workspace then moves to the free plan. Your content is not deleted when this happens.

Refunds

Because cancelling leaves your access running to the end of the period you paid for, we do not refund the unused part of a term, and payments already taken are non-refundable. A cancellation stops the next charge; it does not reverse the last one.

There are two exceptions:

  • Statutory rights. Where consumer law gives you a right to cancel or a refund — including the statutory withdrawal period for consumers in the EU and UK — that right applies and this section does not limit it.
  • Our fault. If you were charged in error, or a sustained failure on our side made the service substantially unusable for a material part of your term, contact us and we will put it right, by refund where that is the appropriate remedy.

To ask about a charge, write to nenosource01@gmail.com. Because Paddle is the merchant of record, refunds are issued through Paddle and returned to your original payment method.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle will retry it. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and the workspace moves to the free plan; you keep your content and can resubscribe at any time.

10. API access and agent keys

Paid plans include access to our API, which lets your own software ask questions of one of your agents. Owners and admins create keys from the dashboard, and each key works for a single agent.

Your key is your responsibility

Treat a key like a password, and keep it on your own server. Anyone holding it can ask questions of that agent and spend your workspace’s usage allowance. Do not put one in a website, a mobile app, or anything else a user can read. You are responsible for every call made with your keys and for what those calls cost, whoever makes them. If a key is exposed, revoke it from the dashboard — you can hold several and replace them one at a time.

Your users are yours

If you build the service into your own product, the people using that product are your users. We have no account for them and no relationship with them. You are responsible for what you tell them, for handling their data, and for their use of what we return.

AI answers are not guaranteed to be correct applies to everything the API returns: answers can be wrong, and passing one to your own users does not make it right. If you show our answers to other people, it is on you to make sure they are not relied on as guaranteed fact — particularly where a wrong answer would cost them something.

Limits

Requests are rate limited per key so one integration cannot exhaust another, and API usage draws on the same monthly allowance as the app — it is not a separate pool. Running out stops further calls until the period resets or you upgrade.

Changes to the API

We will not break a working integration without telling you first. You may build products on the API, but you may not resell raw access to it — reselling the API itself, as opposed to something you have built with it, needs our agreement.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we offer no uptime guarantee. We need to perform maintenance, and depend on third parties — including AI providers — whose outages affect us.

We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue something you depend on, or make a change that materially reduces the service, we will give reasonable notice, and if you have paid for a term you cannot use as a result, we will refund the unused part of it.

12. Our intellectual property

The service — its software, design, branding and documentation — is ours and is protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while this agreement is in force, and nothing more. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or create derivative works from it, except where the law says you may.

If you send us feedback or suggestions we may use them freely and without obligation to you.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account from settings. Deletion is permanent and immediate, and we cannot restore the account afterwards — download anything you need first, one document at a time, since there is no bulk export. Deleting an account does not by itself refund a paid term, and it does not remove content owned by a workspace: documents and agents stay with the workspace for whoever is still in it, as the Privacy Policy explains.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, particularly acceptable use, or where we must to comply with the law or to protect the service or other users. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will give you notice and a chance to put it right first. If we terminate a paid account without cause, we will refund the unused part of the term.

Sections covering your content licence, our intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In particular, and as AI answers are not guaranteed to be correct explains, we do not warrant that answers produced by the service are accurate, complete or fit for any decision you take.

Nothing here excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Consumers keep every right their local law gives them.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, arising out of this agreement, even if advised such loss was possible.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to this agreement is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

16. Indemnity

If you are using the service other than as a consumer, you agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms or of the law.

17. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Surat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and may bring proceedings in your local courts where that law says you may.

Please contact us first. Most problems are settled faster by email than by either of us instructing a lawyer.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change we will give reasonable notice by email or in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, cancel and stop using the service.

19. General

These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or sale of the business. Neither party is liable for a failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
